A LUMP IN THE ROAD tells
the story of a mother and daughter whose imaginary journey to far away places actually brings them closer together.
This was Heather's
initial foray into writing and directing alongside first time Producer Stuart Reid. What intially started out as
a basic exercise in 16mm storytelling became a wonderful fairytale in more ways than one.
"A Lump in the Road"
was finished in late 2005 and has already achieved great success on the festival circuit:
BBC NEW
FILM MAKER AWARD 2005 - Shortlisted from 500 films.
"A LUMP IN THE
ROAD is a lovely film. You just missed out on getting into the final shortlist of 9. You got two great
performances. Well done!"
- Jeremy Howe,
Executive Producer.
