"Bill of Mortality" was Heather's second short
film and was built upon the foundations of "A Lump in the Road". Again, this was human drama in an enclosed space and
predominantly between two characters. However, "Bill of Mortality" is set in 1665 during the great plague and so this
presented a greater challenge both in the writing and in the production. Heather wrote, produced and directed this film
with the help of a fantastic cast and crew.
Henry is a rich merchant who has lost all during the plague and now has ben nailed
inside his own house which is suspected to contain victims of the disease. His long suffering wife Jane is trapped alongside
him and in this, their final hours, they not only find themselves fighting amongst themselves but also
fighting for their very survival.
